The drama tells the story of Qin Shi Huang Ying Zheng, with the assistance of Lv Buwei, Li Si, Wang Jian, and others, who conquered the Six Kingdoms and unified the whole country, establishing the first unified centralized state in Chinese history.
In the late Warring States period, the chaotic land of China, which had lasted for more than 500 years, was still plagued by war and destruction of life. At that time, the Six Kingdoms were weak, the Qin State was strong, and the trend of world unity gradually became apparent. The great merchant Lv Buwei fled back to the state of Qin with Ying Yiren, who was a hostage in the state of Zhao. The young first emperor, Ying Zheng, was abandoned in Handan and suffered numerous life and death disasters. He also witnessed the pain and despair brought by the war to the people, and his determination to unite the world was born from this. Afterwards, Ying Zheng returned to Qin and experienced spiritual pain in the political vortex of Xianyang, transforming into a true king. In order to seize the opportunity and strength to unify the country and achieve the ideal of unified governance, we carefully planned and acted in secret to finally quell the rebellion of Ya'ai, govern personally, depose the prime minister, and regain the royal power. Afterwards, the forces of the restoration of the imperial family were eradicated, clearing the way for the eastward invasion of the country. With the assistance of a group of literary officials and military generals such as Li Si, Wang Jian, and Meng Tian, the Six Kingdoms were wiped out and the first unified centralized state in Chinese history was established.
